My favorite Yankee

I have been aproached by friends asking me about the name Hideki..so..I thought I would let everyone in on the story of my first nickname..

As the legend goes..I say legend becouse I wasnt really around to see everything but I think I heard what was going on..

I could tell my mom and dad were sports fans becouse I heard them rooting for the NY Jets during my early days..Then I began to hear talk of a new sport..Baseball..
More then football I could feel that my parents especially my dad were baseball fans and of the NY Yankees..I knew it for sure when I heard my dad say that his favorite baseball player was a Yankee who was from Japan..My dad said that if he had a son he would like to name him Hideki..after Yankees left fielder hideki Matsui..well..let me tell you..I didnt know what was going on at first but my whole world started shaking like an earthquake..as I began to regain my compusure..I started to hear my mom laughing harder then ever before..She obviously thought the name Hideki was hilarous..Needless to say, I was a girl and Hideki would not do for me but from then until I actually popped out and told them my name was Molly I was called Hideki ..I liked the nickname for that time in my life and love watching Hideki on the yes network now that baseball season has started and my mom,dad and I can sit and watch the Yanks..

I know some famly members who shall remain nameless (although they all have the initials JG) who may root for the hated Boston red sox..but all I have to say to them is..Boston stinks like my dirty diapers..the season is young like me and the yanks will come back and beat you like always.
